Cottonwood police arrested a 32-year-old woman following a stabbing that took place last Saturday night.
According to police officials, officers responded to an altercation outside a home on North Third Street around 11:30 p.m. Police say Chartese Charley assaulted 28-year-old Tomi Quintero, who suffered multiple stab wounds to her arm. Quintero was treated at Verde Valley Medical Center.
During the incident, Charley allegedly damaged Quintero’s vehicle. A search warrant executed at Charley’s home uncovered a knife believed to be used in the attack, along with other evidence.
Charley was booked into the Yavapai County Detention Center on charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage. She remains in custody.
