BMHS Drops State Play-in Match to St. Mary’s in Pitched Battle

The Bradshaw Mountain volleyball team stumbled out of the gate, dropping set one to St. Mary’s 25-14 in last night’s state play-in round. But the Lady Bears rebounded big time to win the next two sets 25-19 and 25-10, putting them one win away from a trip to the Sweet 16. Set four turned into a tight battle, with St. Mary’s just getting past Bradshaw 25-23.

That set up a deciding set number five, which turned into another nail-biter. But it was the Lady Knights who came out on top 15-13 to hand the Lady Bears the 3-2 match loss, ending their season.

Mackenzie Strader recorded 17 kills and 15 digs. Mackenzie Proffer posted 36 assists. Emma Johnson tallied 15 kills. Annie Platt dropped in six ace serves. Eliana Moll put up five blocks.

Bradshaw Mountain concludes the 2025 season with an overall record of 13-11.
