It was their first home game of the season, and they had a very challenging opponent for it. The Yavapai College women’s basketball team faced off against number two ranked Pima College in Tuesday’s home opener. The Lady Aztecs were in control for pretty much the entire game as they hung a 99-55 loss on YC.
Two Lady Riders scored in double-digits. Alexys DeCramer put up eleven points and Amani Arraf notched ten points. Annika Hester chipped in nine points and Halie Calderon-Martinez tallied eight points.
Yavapai is 0-3 to start the season. The Lady Riders will now head to Thatcher for the Eastern Arizona College tournament. They play Western Wyoming Thursday, College of Southern Idaho Friday, and Snow College Saturday.
