Officials with the Town of Prescott Valley remind residents to take precautions to protect their families and pets from mountain lions. The reminder comes after town officials say they received a confirmed report of a mountain lion sighting in a residential area Monday. The Arizona Game and Fish Department and Prescott Valley Animal Services were notified and began monitoring the situation.
Town officials say residents should keep their pets indoors at night, stay close to small children when outside, secure all garbage and pet food, and report any sightings to Game and Fish or Animal Services.
