They registered wins in their first two games of the year. But last night, in the words of Coach Brad Clifford, they ran into a buzzsaw. The Bradshaw Mountain girls basketball team was in Cave Creek to take on Cactus Shadows, who were also 2-0 on the season and had not allowed either of their previous opponents to score more than 20 points on them. The Lady Falcons continued their defensive domination as they handed Bradshaw a 53-19 loss.
Ally Downing was the Lady Bears’ leading scorer with eight points.
Bradshaw Mountain is now 2-1 on the season. They don’t get much of a break for the Thanksgiving holiday as they head down to Vista Grande High School Friday for a tournament. They face Gilbert Classical and Cienega in the first day of competition.
Bradshaw returns home December 3rd versus Westview.
