Game number one of the season for the Prescott boys basketball team pitted them against one of the best teams in the state. The Badgers began their run in the Fear the Hoop Tournament in Mesa Tuesday by taking on Highland, who is ranked in the top five in the 6A Conference. The Hawks showed why they have that ranking as they took care of Prescott 71-39.
Pedro Jimenez was the only Badger to score in double-digits. He posted 13 points.
Prescott is back at Mesa High School today for day two of the Fear the Hoop Tournament. They have another challenging game as they face Westview, the number five ranked team in the 4A Conference.
After the Thanksgiving holiday, Prescott travels to Phoenix Monday to battle St. Mary’s, a rematch of last season’s state final four matchup. The Badgers’ home opener is next Thursday versus Deer Valley.
