Tri-City area residents have some more specialty plates to choose from for their vehicles, including one with a Yavapai County connection.
ADOT has unveiled three new specialty license plates for ovarian cancer awareness, the Phoenix Mercury, and the Verde Valley Wine Trail. That brings the total to 109 specialty plate options, which can be ordered at azmvdnow.gov.
Each plate costs $25 a year, with $17 going to charities or nonprofits. Last fiscal year, specialty plate sales raised over 14-and-a-half million dollars for Arizona causes.
Plates for the Verde Valley Wine Trail will support sustainable vineyard practices, promote responsible driving initiatives, and inspire more people to visit northern Arizona.
