The Thanksgiving weekend was not the time for the Embry-Riddle women’s basketball team to relax. They were in Caldwell, Idaho for a pair of games. In Friday’s contest, the Lady Eagles faced the College of Idaho. Riddle got into a big hole in the second quarter when the Lady Coyotes outscored them 20-9. The Lady Eagles fought back in the second half, but lost 72-57. Jordyn Smith and Morgan Evenson both notched ten points. “The Dean Machine” Abbie Dean and Morgan Mann both put up eight points.
On Saturday, Embry-Riddle took on Eastern Oregon, and again staged a second half comeback that fell short, losing to the Lady Mountaineers 73-61. Kate McBride registered 14 points. Riley Morris-Rexford amassed ten points, and Makenzie Alapai recorded eight points and eight rebounds.
The Lady Eagles are now 1-7 on the season. They are on the road Thursday to face Benedictine-Mesa.
