Acker Night

Prescott’s favorite holiday tradition returns Friday, December 12, as Acker Night celebrates its 37th year of music, lights, and community spirit.

The evening kicks off with an opening ceremony at 5 p.m. on Gurley Street. More than 500 musicians will perform for free inside over 140 downtown businesses, with genres ranging from rock and bluegrass to holiday favorites.

Shops transform into concert venues, while families can enjoy street performances, festive lights, and photos with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.

Free shuttles will run from Yavapai College to downtown from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.

Proceeds from musician tip bags support music education, providing scholarships and funding school music programs. Last year alone, over 60 scholarships were awarded.

Limited-edition Acker scarves go on sale at noon that day at Fancy That! Home Store, with all proceeds benefiting the cause.
