The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office is mourning the loss of longtime volunteer and community leader Jim Bricker, who passed away in November at the age of 82.
Bricker was a dedicated member of Yavapai County Search and Rescue since 2004 and once served as chair of the organization. His nearly two decades of volunteer service left a lasting mark on the county.
Originally from western Illinois, Bricker served in the Marine Corps Reserve before moving to Prescott in 1980. He spent close to 30 years working as a branch manager in local banks.
His legacy continues through his children — son Mike Bricker, a YCSO deputy serving Yarnell, Congress, and Skull Valley, and daughter Jennifer, who recently retired from the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The Sheriff’s Office extends its condolences to the Bricker family and thanks Jim for his service to Yavapai County.
