After losing to Carroll College Thursday, the Embry-Riddle men’s basketball team was determined to end the Cactus Classic — and the 2025 portion of their schedule — on a more positive note. They did just that in Friday’s game versus Westcliff University. The Eagles went into halftime with a 38-21 advantage over the Warriors.
While Westcliff did attempt a comeback in the second half, Riddle managed to stay ahead and got the win, 62-53. Noah Gifft put up 16 points for the Eagles. Peter Dress notched 14 points, and both players also had seven rebounds apiece. “The Fireball” Jacey Canalin recorded 10 points. Matur Dahl came close to a double-double with nine points and eight rebounds, and he also dished out four assists. Christian Wells chipped in six points.
Riddle is now 8-6 on the season. They are off until January 2nd, when they play at Justice University.
