It was touchdown after touchdown after touchdown after touchdown in this contest. The scoring never stopped between the Wisconsin–River Falls and John Hopkins University football teams in the NCAA Division III national semi-finals Saturday. There were several lead changes throughout, and with John Hopkins up 34–28 halfway through the third quarter, Prescott grad Jake Hilton caught a 15-yard pass from Kaleb Blaha for a touchdown to tie the score at 34-all.
The score was tied 41–41 in the final minute of regulation when Blaha threw his fifth touchdown pass of the day to give the Falcons the 48–41 triumph. Hilton finished the game with three catches for 76 yards.
Hilton and the rest of his Wisconsin–River Falls teammates will play for the NCAA Division III national title January 4th versus North Central at Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
