Tri-City area residents who plan on traveling for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays won’t have to worry about construction delays. ADOT officials say no work will take place on any of Arizona’s state highways or interstates from Christmas Eve through January 5th.
However, expect busier than normal traffic during the holidays on roadways like I-17 and I-40. Be sure you are prepared for any delays or emergencies by packing an emergency kit with items like food, water, blankets, and cell phone chargers.
