Prescott Man Arrested For Aggravated Assault

A Prescott man is facing multiple felony charges after a violent domestic incident earlier this month.

Authorities say 41-year-old Jeremy Burleson committed aggravated assault, arson, and burglary Thursday, December fourth, at his girlfriend’s home on Seri Drive.

Burleson allegedly poured gasoline outside the back door, forced his way in, and assaulted the victim. He then set two blankets and a bed on fire before fleeing.

The victim was able to put out the flames before the fire spread. The next day, December fifth, Prescott police spotted Burleson driving near South Montezuma Street. He was stopped and arrested without incident.

Burleson was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on multiple felony counts, including domestic violence-related charges.
