New Players for the NAZ Wranglers for 2026

Some new blood will join the Northern Arizona Wranglers in 2026. The team recently signed defensive end Ryan Johnson. The Mississippi native recently suited up for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL. In college, he saw action for both Southern Miss and Akron University, racking up 67 tackles and five sacks between the two schools.

Also joining NAZ is six-foot-six receiver Jordan Jakes from UNLV, along with Brendon Luper, who recorded 110 tackles for New Mexico Highlands. He was also an all-conference selection while playing for Texas State.

Another addition to the offense is Benjamin Omayebu. In two seasons with Tarleton State, he posted 1,252 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The Wranglers also picked up a veteran receiver in Warren Newman III, who has experience with the CFL’s Montreal Alouettes, the USFL’s New Jersey Generals, and the IFL’s Quad City Steamwheelers.
