New Yavapai College baseball coach Marc MacMillan got a nice head start putting together his roster for the 2027 season. He has signed 18 new players. They include Wyatt Bundy from Mesa’s Red Mountain High School. Last season, he hit .409 with 19 RBIs and 22 runs scored, and made the All East Valley Region First Team.
Kael Leon batted an even .500 for Shadow Ridge High School in Surprise last season, with four home runs, 26 RBIs, 14 doubles, and 25 runs scored. That earned him West Valley Region Offensive Player of the Year honors.
Caleb Adams is a pitcher from Colony High School in Texas who fanned 13 batters in 13 innings last season.
Everett Hagen hit .340 with 10 RBIs at Desert Mountain in Scottsdale last season and was an All East Sky Region honorable mention.
Also joining the Roughriders in 2027 is Simon Slapeta, an infielder who had a solid youth career in New South Wales, Australia.
