The first day of 2026 was a rainy one for Yavapai County.
According to the county Flood Control District, Sierra Prieta received three-quarters of an inch of rain Thursday. Big Bug Mesa got 0.55 inches. White Spar Campground had just over a half-inch of rain. Goldwater Lake and Thumb Butte both received 0.43 inches. Mingus Mountain got 0.39 inches. Yarnell had 0.35 inches. Sedona received 0.31 inches. Mayer received 0.28 inches. Lynx Lake and Williamson Valley got just under a quarter-inch of rain. Chino Valley, Prescott Heights, Outer Loop Road, Camp Verde, and Seligman all had 0.20 inches. Cordes Junction received 0.16 inches. Willow Lake, Watson Lake, and Pine Ridge Marketplace all got 0.12 inches. Prescott Valley and Cottonwood had 0.08 inches, and Prescott Country Club received 0.04 inches of rain.
There is a slight chance of rain today in the Tri-City area.
