Many Vacancies on Prescott’s Boards and Commissions

As we enter the new year, the City of Prescott has a number of vacancies across its boards, comissions, and committees.

The Board of Adjustments has two vacancies, the Building Safety Advisory and Appeals Board has three vacancies, the Community Development Block Grants Citizens Advisory Committee is looking for seven new members, the Fire Board of Appeals is looking to fill three vacancies, the Planning and Zoning Commission needs four new members, the Prescott Preservation Committee has four vacancies, and the Tourism Advisory Committee is looking for five new members.

Terms for each board, commission, and committee range from two to three years. Residency is not required for the Community Development Block Grants Citizens Advisory Committee or Tourism Advisory Committee, but is for all others. City officials say volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community and help shape city policy.

Applications are available on the City of Prescott website and close at 5 p.m. on January 30th.
