PHS Soccer Teams Have No Luck Against Salpointe Catholic

For the first time in nearly a month, the Prescott boys soccer team was back on the pitch and faced stiff competition in their first game of 2026. They hosted the always tough Salpointe Catholic Lancers Friday night. Defense on both sides played a stifling game, but Salpointe Catholic managed to break through once to get on the scoreboard. The Badgers, however, could not get a goal of their own and lost 1–nil.

The Prescott girls soccer team, meanwhile, also took on Salpointe Catholic Friday, with the game taking place in Tucson. The Lady Badgers put up a good fight, but a successful penalty kick by the Lady Lancers and a missed PK by Prescott ultimately resulted in a 2–0 decision in Salpointe’s favor.

The Prescott boys are 2–3 in their power point games, and the Prescott girls are 3–3. The boys are in action tonight when they host Campo Verde. The girls are on the road tomorrow at Mingus.
