Goldwater Lake Treatment to Begin This Week

As 2026 continues, so too does the City of Prescott’s Healthy Lakes Program.

On Thursday, the City of Prescott Public Works Department will conduct a phosphorus-binding treatment at Upper Goldwater Lake. City officials say this is the same product used at Watson Lake to help remove phosphorus and sediment, reduce summertime weeds and algae, and improve water quality. They add the treatment will be enhanced with the installation of a solar-powered lake aerator later this year.

The lake will remain open during treatment.
