Dee Jenkins will not run for election to keep her seat on the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. In an announcement from her office, Jenkins stated, “After much reflection and consideration, I have decided not to seek re-election for the office of District Two, Yavapai County Board of Supervisors.
“Serving this community has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional life. When I first stepped into this role, my goal was to advocate for our residents and help build a stronger future for our county. As I look back on my time with the Board of Supervisors, I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished together through collaboration, transparency, and a shared commitment to public service.”
Jenkins was appointed to the board last April to fill the vacancy left by James Gregory, who stepped down to become police chief of Williams. Prior to becoming a county supervisor, Jenkins served as a town councilwoman, and later the mayor, of Camp Verde.
