ERAU Schedules Flight Demo in Chino Valley Saturday

Officials with the Town of Chino Valley announced that Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will hold a flight training simulation Saturday. They say the demonstration is intended to give residents an opportunity to experience what future operations may be like and how they could impact everyday living. Since no airstrip currently exists, pilots must still comply with Federal Aviation Administration regulations; however, they will simulate the proposed flight training pattern of the planned airfield as closely and safely as possible.

The simulation begins at 1 p.m. and is expected to last around thirty minutes. Residents are asked to go about their normal routines during the demonstration and take note of what they see and hear. Operations can also be viewed from public areas near the proposed site.
