From the moment the opening buzzer sounded, the Prescott girls basketball team was in control of this game. The Lady Badgers got off to a 9-0 start against Mingus and did not let up the rest of the way. When the final buzzer went off, Prescott came away with a 65-38 victory Tuesday night in Cottonwood.
Addie Prisciandaro posted 22 points for the Lady Badgers. Bella Abt registered 16 points. That puts Prescott’s record at 18-3 overall and 6-0 in Grand Canyon Region play. They are also winners of seven in a row.
The Lady Badgers are back on their home court Friday when they face Mohave. They also have a rare Saturday game as they head down to the Valley for a contest with Sunnyslope. Coming up January 30th, it’s round two of the rivalry. Prescott hosts Bradshaw Mountain at 6 p.m., prior to the boys game that night.
