BMHS Girls BKB Sinks Coconino, Boys Fall to Panthers

Tuesday they walked over Mohave, beating them by 37 points. Thursday night, the Bradshaw Mountain girls basketball team decided to make it back-to-back lopsided games. This time, the victim was Coconino. The Lady Bears dispatched the Lady Panthers, 51–30. Kenna Martinez notched 13 points, and freshman Kortney Bennett put up ten points.

It’s the second time this season Bradshaw has beaten Coco. This puts the Lady Bears’ record at 15–12 for the season and sitting at number 19 in the power point rankings for the 4A Conference. Bradshaw Mountain concludes the regular season next Tuesday at home versus Lee Williams.

The Bradshaw Mountain boys basketball team, meanwhile, had a big challenge Thursday as they faced number-eight-ranked Coconino up in Flagstaff. The Bears came out on the wrong end of a 63–47 score. Kylin Jackson registered 15 points, and “The Phantom” Michael Crawford amassed eleven points.
