The score was tied 30–30 at halftime. Then a last-second jumper by The Master’s University resulted in a tie score at the end of regulation. Both teams battled it out in overtime, but the Embry-Riddle men’s basketball team came up a bit short and lost to the Mustangs, 87–85, Thursday night.
Adam Mickulin notched 20 points for the Eagles. “The Fireball” Jacey Canalin registered 19 points. Noah Gifft posted 12 points, and Christian Wells garnered nine points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, the Embry-Riddle women led by two points at halftime, only to see The Master’s jump out in front of them in the second half. The Lady Eagles battled back, but lost 71–64.
“The Golden B.B.” Bella Barrett posted 13 points. Makenzie Alapai amassed 11 points. Riley Morris-Rexford tallied nine points.
The Embry-Riddle men and women host Life Pacific tomorrow.
