Last Friday, they had a knock down, drag out fight with Flagstaff, relying on their defense to get the win. Monday, however, it was back to business as usual for the Prescott girls basketball team, meaning a lopsided game. The Lady Badgers hosted Mingus in the regular season finale and dispatched the Lady Marauders 61–30. No stats were available prior to airtime.
Prescott finishes the regular season with a 14-game winning streak, along with an overall record of 25–3. That surpasses their win total of 22 from last year. The Lady Badgers also wind up undefeated in Grand Canyon Region play at 12–0, giving them their first region championship in 17 years.
Prescott is number two in the power point rankings in the 4-A Conference, but is number 13 in the Open Division. That’s where they will start their postseason run. The first round of the Open Division takes place February 17th.
