Prescott has a pair of teams in state tournament action tonight. The girls basketball team takes their home court for the first round of the Open Division tournament, featuring the best teams from the 4A, 5A, and 6A conferences. The Lady Badgers enter the contest as the number 12 seed, while their opponent, Valley Vista, is number 21. Prescott concluded the regular season with an overall record of 25-3 and went undefeated in Grand Canyon Region play to claim their first region title in 17 years. The Lady Monsoon, meanwhile, hail from the 6-A conference and went 16-9 overall on the season. They also went undefeated in region play, winning the West Valley Region title.

Also tonight, the Prescott girls soccer team is in Cave Creek to begin the 4A Conference state tournament. The number 11 seed Lady Badgers are at number six Cactus Shadows at 6 p.m. Prescott is 7-5-1 and has won their last four games by shutout. The Lady Falcons are 10-5-1 and did beat the Lady Badgers 3-1 during the first half of the regular season.
