Two Injured in HWY 89 Crash in Prescott

Prescott police are investigating a serious single-vehicle crash that sent two men to a Phoenix trauma center in critical condition.

The accident happened last Thursday around 5:35 p.m. near Highway 89 and Industrial Way.

A 25-year-old man, Jesse Whitehead, and a 35-year-old man, Parker Dallas, were traveling northbound on Highway 89 when their vehicle left the roadway for unknown reasons. It crossed a gravel lot, struck a concrete barrier, became airborne, and both occupants were ejected.

Prescott firefighters and EMS treated the victims at the scene before they were airlifted. Impairment may be a factor, but the investigation continues. No other vehicles were involved.

The Prescott Police Traffic Safety Section is handling the case and asks anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to contact Officer Perry Reed at 928-777-1943.

Prescott Police say this adds to a string of recent winter-related incidents in the area, and urge extra caution on roads amid icy conditions.
