The Prescott City Council made its decision on the Highway 89 improvement project. At Tuesday’s meeting, Councilman Ted Gambogi made a motion to approve the replacement of the effluent line and widen the roadway. That was defeated by a 5–2 vote.
Mayor Cathey Rusing then made a motion to only replace the effluent line on Highway 89. That passed 6–1, with Councilman Gambogi voting no.
