CVHS Baseball Goes 1-1 in Season Opening Tournament

The Chino Valley baseball team apparently could not wait to get their bats going. They began the season yesterday in the Valley at the Cougar Classic. In their first game of the day, they put a hurtin’ on North Valley Christian, topping them 24–2. Destry Owens had three RBIs and three runs scored. Ryan Lamotte went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Luke Olson had two RBIs and three runs scored.

The second game of the day did not have a similar offensive onslaught. It also did not result in a win for Chino, as Cactus got the better of them 3–1. Lamotte drove in the Cougars’ lone run.

Chino has the day off today. They are back at the Cougar Classic tomorrow to face Blue Ridge and Phoenix Christian.
