No change in Yavapai County’s drought conditions.
According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, just like the past few weeks, the eastern and central parts of the county are no longer in drought. Western Yavapai County is abnormally dry. As for the rest of Arizona, nearly half the state is either abnormally dry or no longer experiencing drought. Eastern Arizona is either in severe drought or moderate drought.
Because of the current drought conditions, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is low. Still, everyone is urged to be careful with anything that can produce a flame or a spark in order to prevent a wildfire from breaking out.
