Town of PV Gives Clarification on Glassford Dells Regional Park

The Glassford Dells Regional Park is on the agenda for this Thursday’s Prescott Valley Town Council meeting, and town officials say there has been some confusion. In an effort to maintain open communication, town officials put out a statement clarifying some information on the park. They say the town does already own the land and it is a part of the Glassford Dells Regional Park and the Iron-King Trail right of way. They say the areas are currently located in an unincorporated part of Yavapai County, and the town seeks to move them inside town boundaries for easier management.

Prescott Valley officials add the land will remain open space and the town does not have plans for development, stating the project is about protecting the trails and regional park for the public’s enjoyment. They clarify the resolution on Thursday’s meeting agenda, “explicitly states that no water, wastewater, or electrical service will be extended to the parcels.”
