Yavapai County’s Annual Slash Drop-off Coming in April

The Yavapai County government is bringing back its free slash drop-off program. It begins April 1st and runs through June 1st. The program aims to help residents create defensible space around their property in order to better protect their homes from a wildfire.

Brush, leaves, yard trimmings, and branches will be accepted for drop-off. Items that will not be accepted include stumps, roots, cacti, lumber, and garbage. Slash can be dropped off at the county transfer stations in Paulden, Mayer, Skull Valley, Congress, Camp Verde, Black Canyon City, and Seligman during normal business hours.

This is for residential use only. Commercial loads will not be accepted.
