The City of Prescott is offering a complimentary curbside brush and vegetation debris pickup program this May as part of its ongoing efforts to encourage residents to create defensible space around their homes to protect them from wildfires.
City officials say the service is available to residential trash customers and is designed to help reduce fire fuels as warmer and drier conditions approach. Residents must pre-register to participate. Registration opens April 1st at prescottrecycles.com.
The program is limited to residential trash customers. Commercial customers and those who use dumpster services are not eligible. The curbside pickup program replaces the previous free Saturday brush drop-off events that were held in April. As a result, there will be no free drop-off service available at the Sundog Transfer Station this year.
