The game started off well for the Bradshaw Mountain baseball team Friday as they scored three runs in the first inning. That lead vanished quickly as Mingus came back in the second inning to tie the score.
The Bears then put up three more runs in the fourth inning to regain the lead. The Marauders wasted little time chipping away at that advantage, notching two runs in the fifth and another in the seventh to tie it up.
In the bottom of the seventh, Bradshaw Mountain had a runner on second when Nitesh Patel got a walk-off single for the 7–6 victory.
Ty Young homered and drove in two runs for the Bears. Ryan Heimpel also had two RBIs. Sammy Villafana went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Dylan Lockwood was the winning pitcher.
The Bears are now 3–5 on the season. They are back in action tomorrow when they head down to Tucson to take part in the Lancer Baseball Classic.
