They had really good grades, and did a lot of community service. That earned six Yavapai College students All-Arizona Academic Team scholarships from the Arizona Board of Regents. They will receive a tuition waiver upon transferring to an Arizona university.
The six Yavapai students are Robert Blakely, an electrical engineering major; Eric Jackson, a fire science student who plans to transfer to NAU.; Sarah Khalil, a psychology major who will transfer to ASU.; Tristan Schreiner, an interdisciplinary studies and creative writing major who will attend the U-of-A; Patric Sipes, a nursing student who will transfer to NAU.; and Laura Waltrip, who will continue her justice studies at ASU.
