The Bradshaw Mountain baseball team struck first in its first game at the Lancer Classic in Tucson Tuesday. They took a 1–0 lead over Pusch Ridge right out of the gate. The Lions jumped ahead 2–1 in the bottom of the first, but the Bears tied it in the second inning, then went up 3–2 in the top of the third. Pusch Ridge, however, pushed three across the plate to regain the lead. They would stay on top the rest of the way, with Bradshaw Mountain falling 6–4.
Tristan Hanna went 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Dylan Lockwood had a triple and an RBI. Bryce Durea drove in a run, and Sammy Villafana scored two runs. The Bears are now 3–6 on the season.
Bradshaw Mountain has two games in Tucson today. They begin day two of the Lancer Classic by taking on Charlotte Christian from Charlotte, North Carolina. After that, the Bears face Desert View.
