PHS Baseball Topped by Bishop Kelly

The final day of the Greenway Festival saw the Prescott baseball team take on a team they had no familiarity with. That would be Bishop Kelly High School, a squad who traveled from Boise, Idaho to play in Phoenix. The Badgers started off hot with five runs in the first three innings. Prescott did not score for the rest of the game, while the Knights’ bats came alive in the late innings. The end result was an 8–5 loss for the Badgers.

Kaden Lampe doubled and drove in two runs for Prescott. William Horn scored two runs. Both sides had their struggles in the field as the Badgers and the Knights combined for nine errors in the game. Prescott was scheduled to play Thunderbird in the nightcap, but the result of that game was not posted prior to air time.

The Badgers return to action Monday when they host Agua Fria. That’s followed by a home-and-home series with Coconino, next Tuesday in Flagstaff, and next Thursday at Prescott High School.
