Locals Achieve Top 5 Finishes at Chandler Rotary T&F Invite

It’s one of the biggest regular season track and field meets in Arizona. It’s the Chandler Rotary Invitational, and Prescott, Bradshaw Mountain, and Chino Valley were among the many other teams in attendance over the weekend. Quite a few of our local athletes put in top performances down there. That includes a couple of first-place finishes. Prescott’s Korynee Smith won the girls 800 meter run, and Bradshaw Mountain’s Kaden Espinosa was first in the boys 110 meter hurdles.

Runner-up finishes include Prescott’s Rutger Funk in the boys discus and Aubrey Kitahata in the girls 200 meter run. She was also seventh in the 400 meter run. Prescott’s Halle Terelak-Foster was sixth in the 100 meter run and eighth in the long jump; Bradshaw Mountain’s 4×100 and 4×400 boys relays both came in third place. Sara Haramon was third in the girls 1,600 meter run, and Michael Simon was fourth in the boys 1,600 meter run. For Chino Valley, Zoi Nagel finished ninth in the girls 3,200 meter run.
