PHS Boys Tennis Clips Horizon

After nearly two weeks off, the Prescott boys tennis team returned to the court Tuesday to face Horizon in triple-digit heat down in Phoenix. But the long layoff and the scorching weather did not bother the Badgers too much. They won their matches at number one, two, and three singles, with the Huskies taking number four, five, and six singles.

But Prescott had strong performances in doubles, with Paxton Brown and Seth Walker winning 8–2, and Carson O’Neill and Bridger Mangum gaining an 8–1 victory. That gave Prescott the 5–4 team win.

Walker swept his number one singles match 6–0 and 6–0. At number two singles, Mangum got the 6–0, 6–2 win. Brown was victorious at number three singles 6–1 and 6–1.

The Badgers are 4–1 on the season. They host ALA Gilbert North today and are at Bradshaw Mountain tomorrow.
