1971: A new identity for this team. The Boston Patriots rebranded themselves the New England Patriots and relocated to Foxborough, Massachusetts. They would play at Foxboro Stadium until 2002, when they moved to Gillette Stadium.
1972: The title streak continued. The UCLA men’s basketball team dealt with Florida State 81–76 in the national championship game. It was the Bruins’ sixth straight national title.
1982: He did what no one else had done before. Edmonton’s Wayne Gretzky became the first NHL player to accumulate 200 points in a season. He ended up with 212 points for the season.
