Local scoreboard from the weekend, in baseball, Embry-Riddle lost four games to Hope International. Chino Valley took care of Kingman 6-4. Jacob Boivin drove in two runs and scored one run.
Softball, Yavapai College lost three of four to Arizona Western, then split a twinbill with Monroe College. Bradshaw Mountain got clipped by Greenway 6-5. Kodee Statler homered and drove in three runs. Chino Valley lost to Kingman 16-3 and drubbed Wickenburg 12-1. Maleah Garcia was the winning pitcher with 10 K’s and drove in three runs in the Wickenburg game.
Boys volleyball, Prescott swept Desert Sunrise 3-0. Seth Peterson recorded nine kills and four blocks. Bradshaw Mountain knocked off Tempe 3-1.
Track and field, at the Mangrum Invitational, Embry-Riddle’s Sophia Noriega won the women’s 5,000 meter run. At the Brophy Invitational, Prescott’s 4×800 girls relay placed third. At the Greenway Invitational, Bradshaw Mountain’s Kameryn Nuttall was second in the girls 100 meter hurdles. At the Gopher Relays, the Chino Valley 4×800 girls relay finished in first place.
