BMHS Softball Overpowers PHS

The Prescott softball team got off to a good start in Monday’s game with two runs in the top of the first inning. The bottom of the first, however, went much better for Bradshaw Mountain as they exploded for eight runs. The Lady Bears did not stop there, while the Lady Badgers could not catch up. That resulted in a 14-6 victory for Bradshaw Mountain.

“Smooth” Jaz Valentine had a tremendous day at the plate for the Lady Bears, going 4-for-4 with two triples, four RBIs, and three runs scored. Raquel “Rocky” Astorga also drove in four runs, and had two doubles and two runs scored. Laila Silva had two RBIs and three runs scored.

For the Lady Badgers, Mariah Smolniker had a solo home run. Kaylin Pinarelli and Amilya Zahn had an RBI and a run scored.

Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain have their re-match Wednesday at Prescott High School at 4 p.m., and that game can be heard on the Team 1450 AM KNOT.
