PV Mayor Seeks Zip Code Change for One Part of Town

Mayor Kell Palguta announced he is working to try and get some residents’ ZIP codes changed in Prescott Valley. He says he recently connected with the local postmaster to discuss the issue of residents living inside Prescott Valley town limits being forced to use the ZIP code assigned to Dewey-Humboldt. Palguta reports they have developed a potential path forward, and that he is working with a member of Congressman Eli Crane’s office to investigate what would be required to make the change.

While the change is still in talks, Palguta says trying to make the change is important because ZIP codes can affect insurance rates, property values, and how the community is recognized. He says, “If you live in Prescott Valley, your address should reflect that.”
