Prescott made history in the aviation world this week — hosting the largest spring conference ever held by the Arizona Airport Association.
Two-hundred-twenty-five aviation professionals from across the state registered for the event, breaking the association’s previous record for spring attendance.
The conference brought together industry leaders to discuss legislative priorities, operational best practices, and the future of airport management and development. Attendees also got a behind-the-scenes tour of Prescott’s airport facilities.
Several local airport staff served as panel moderators and speakers during the sessions.
The city also came away with new representation at the statewide level — Capital Projects Manager John Kuebrich was elected to the Arizona Airport Association’s executive board.
Mayor Cathey Rusing said hosting the event reflects the city’s ongoing commitment to aviation and the partnerships that support it.
