APS has gotten a head start on protecting its equipment from wildfires.
During Wednesday’s Yavapai County Board of Supervisors meeting, Frank Sanderson, the utility’s northern division director, briefed the board on their wildfire prevention efforts:
Sanderson says APS crews have also cleared brush from many of their power poles and have installed weather stations at many of their sites around northern Arizona.
