The sweeps continue for the Prescott girls tennis team. The Lady Badgers were in Phoenix Thursday to battle North Canyon. It was pretty much smooth sailing for the blue and gold as they dispatched the Lady Rattlers 9–0 for their third sweep in a row and their fifth of the season.
Juliette Gundermann, Alder Aten, and Makenzie Lanford all won their singles matches by identical scores of 6–1 and 6–0. Mandy Hirasa had a 6–0, 6–0 victory, and Sophia Viterbo got the 6–1, 6–1 win. Kloee Aurich won her match via disqualification. In doubles, Gundermann and Aten were 8–1 winners, and Lanford and Hirasa won 8–2. Viterbo and Aurich got their win on a DQ.
Prescott is now 8–1 on the season. They are back in action Tuesday when they take on Deer Valley in Glendale. Next Thursday, Prescott has a huge match at home against undefeated Cactus Shadows.
