The Prescott Valley Police Department is preparing to hold its Youth Police Academy, and applications are now open. Police officials say the program is free and open to 15- to 18-year-olds.
Participants will receive a hands-on introduction to law enforcement through firearm simulations, CPR certification, and training with experienced officers. Applications are located on the Town of Prescott Valley website.
The Youth Academy runs from July 6 through July 9 this year and is limited to 15 students.
