BMHS Boys Tennis Smokes Goldwater

The Bradshaw Mountain boys tennis team lost their first seven matches of the season before they finally got a victory over Deer Valley on the final day of March. While they did lose to Flagstaff last week, Wednesday’s match versus Goldwater showed things might be coming together for the Bears. They dominated the Bulldogs, getting the 9-0 win.

Cody Stapely dropped his first set 6-4 before coming back and winning his last two sets 6-3 and 11-9. Landon Bloom dispatched his opponent at number one singles by scores of 6-2 and 6-0. Joseph Holtzman also ruled the roost at number two singles with a 6-1 and 6-0 victory. Bracken Kleinman had a rather competitive match at number three singles, getting the deke 6-3 and 6-2.

The win puts Bradshaw Mountain’s record at 2-8. They host Fairfax tomorrow.
