There were some tremendous basketball players in the Tri-City area this year, and they earned a spot on the KYCA All-Area Team.
Starting with Prescott, the girls made it to the Final Four of state thanks to the play of Bella Abt, Addie Prisciandaro, Lilly James, Cate Jones, Bentlee Crockett, and Kylee Murdock. Leading the way for the boys were Jack Golleher, Drew Jolley, Caden Lozen, and Chase Stedman.
The key players for Bradshaw Mountain were Cam Ranniker for the boys, and Emma Johnson, Ally Downing, and Kortney Bennett for the girls.
Chino Valley’s most consistent players were Isaac Martinez for the boys, and Brooke Baziuk and Annabelle Mazzella for the girls.
Mayer got good play from Sean Valenzuela and Eden Otero for the boys, and Taylor McCann, Isabella Morales, and Teresa Londrie for the girls.
Yavapai College’s standouts were Jason Parent and Torin Bosch for the men, and Kayla Bailey and Giselle Serrano for the women.
Embry-Riddle’s top players were Noah Gifft, Jacey Canalin, Matur Dahl, and Peter Dress for the men, and Kate McBride and Makenzie Alapai for the women.
